| Mission Statement The purpose of "Treat The Troops" is to let deployed
American military persons, on the front, living in tents or temporary quarters, know that
people at home are remembering them.
Home-baked cookies and other "comfort Items,"
along with a note of thanks, are sent via the U.S. Postal Service.
The boxes are addressed to a specific soldier at an APO (Army & Air Force) or FPO
(Navy & Marine) number.
"Treat The Troops" does not take a position on
whether or not our troops should be in the country to which they are deployed. It is
important, however, that we, the American People, let these troops know that we care and
are appreciative of the hardships and risks they must endure every day for our country.
Letters received from soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen
prove that these packages from home are greatly appreciated and that they do boost morale.
